Why bother lying?

We have all heard about this sustainablility idea and most of us have recycling bins to use but how many of us use them or even care about sustainability? I believe that we do need 2 do something about climate change and reducing our emissions, but it's hard because most of the things we have like cars etc, most of us wouldn't give up.
If i had to pick between a ford and an audi car, honestly i would chose the ford because i have a ford fiesta at the moment and i really like it. Recently i had to use the train and bus to get to uni and it actually cost more than petrol per week and it took longer. Using the car for many people is more convenient than public transport, i don't think many people will give up using a car to travel just to be more sustainable. Also thinking about where i'd like 2 live in the future, i think i'd rather live in the country with more space than in a city or town because i grew up living in the country and i have horses so ther would be space to keep them in the country.
For my familly holidays have always been in the UK because some people in my familly don't lke flying and because flying can be really expensive so we just go on holiday in this country and travel by car which still isn't very sustainable. For me personally doing geography, i would like to go abroad in the future more to see more of the world. This is probably because i haven't been abroad very much and i'd like to see what other countries are like and to see how people in different countries live. Although travelling by air isn't helping the environment i'm sure many people will keep using aeroplanes to travel abroad because other methods like coaches/trains/ferries take longer.

As for phones and similar gadgets, i'm not really into the latest iphones or blackberries, i prefer just a simple phone because i can work out how to use it. Although i do use a computer quite alot which probably isn't good for the environment. I would probably give up shopping for clothes for a year because i'm not really a big shopper.
I'm not really a healthy eater although i do like fruits like bananas, grapes, strawberries etc so if i had to give up out of season fruits to be more sustainable i could but would giving up out of season fruits fruits reallly make a difference? Our world has large ebergy needs and thes needs will probably grow. i think solar power/tidal energy sources etc could help meet some of our energy needs. However i don't believe using wind power with the wind turbines isn't really going to help meet power needs. Where i live near rugby, we have threats of 3 wind farms being built round us. These turbines are going to have to be extra tall to provide any energy at all. Even then there's no guaranty that they will work.
Overall i probably wouldn't change much to be more sustainable which is shocking as i do geography. I don't think many people will change their ways now that we have technologies etc. Most people my age and younger have been brought up with technologies and stuff which poorer countries don't have. we've been spoilt really and many of us don't realise how lucky we are compared to some other countries in the world. I believe we will all have to change sometime to become more sustainable but i think we will have to come up with more sustainable ways, which allow us to keep using the things we have now, for people to change and become more sustainable which won't be easy.
